Friday’s Five: five things i heard this week

We hear and say a kazillion words throughout the week but only hear a handful of them. Here are five things I heard this week:

1. “There are a million things a man won’t do for five dollars—but there aren’t five things a man won’t do for a million.” from The Curious Savage

2. A newly married young lady was asked if she was enjoying marriage: “Yeah! I don’t have any complaints. (Short pause) Well, maybe a couple.”

3. Subsequently…The instant burst of laughter from the five seasoned in marriage women sitting at the table with the young bride — because we completely understood what she meant.

4. “Grace, grace, God’s grace. Grace that will pardon and cleanse within. Grace, grace, God’s grace. Grace that is greater than all my sin” words by Julie H. Johnston

5. Winter, my son,  gets home from his trip to Scotland…takes his suitcase to his room, comes back to the kitchen…opens the refrigerator door, closes it…turns around and says, “What’s for dinner?” (And I kinda loved it.)

What are five things have you heard this week?
