As usual, I sat outside today to eat my lunch. The wind was such a delightful surprise. It made the leaves race across the lot, leap into the air, and twirl around. I’m pretty sure I giggled like a four year old little girl. On my way back inside I could hear the melody of a song I wrote many years ago, Changing Winds. When I got home I decided to take a walk and enjoy the wind some more. It was a little stronger this evening and I could smell the rain that it is bringing. I thought about the song again and began singing as I walked.
…The winds begin to gather, roll down the mountain side into the darkened valleys where the lost children hide…changing winds blow…change rebellion into obedience, change deception into lips of truth, change corruption into hearts of purity, change wickedness into righteousness, change religion to relationship with you…
If you are like me, there are things you are carrying in prayer, people that you are holding before the Lord, ashes that are waiting to be turned into beauty. Do not worry. The changing winds of heaven are coming and they are bringing a rain that will revive, refresh, and renew –something only God can do.
