Friday’s Five, feb 24

We hear and say a kazillion words throughout the week but only hear a handful of them. What have you heard this week?

  • I’m sitting outside as I write this post. I can hear the sound of tall pine trees rubbing together in the breeze. It’s loud and abrasive, like an alarm. (think that will preach?)
  • Parenting is an incubator for faithful worship. Every aspect of our lives training and modeling. Deuteronomy 6:6-7, “And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”
  • “Awesome sauce? Ms. Adrienne you shouldn’t say that. No, uh-uh.”
  • “My grandmother always had some buttercups (daffodils) in her back yard. Then there was a storm that knocked over a bunch of trees. Now her whole back yard if full of buttercups. They think the bulbs got shredded and transplanted during the cleaning up process, causing them to multiply.” (paraphrased version. I think that will preach too.)
  • With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible (Matthew 19?)

There are the three things you need to know about me. I am a child of God, and I love being about his business; I have a gigantic heart for discipleship, worship, leadership, and creative things; I could eat BBQ morning, day, and night. For more information, see the ABOUT page
