What have you heard this week?
- “If I had known you wanted perfection I would have charged you more.” — said a contractor when the quality of his work was in question–for reals.
- “A rule of the rose garden: If there are no roses on the bush it doesn’t matter if there are no weeds in garden.”
- “Do you love me? Feed my sheep.” — Jesus
- “Whenever I feel like I should be fasting, I just tithe more.” — an anonymous roommate
- “We cannot out love Jesus because love is not just something He does. It’s something He is. He is incapable of loving less because He is incapable of being less…Jesus is always the initiator in every aspect of our relationship with Him. Every time you are driven to pursue Him, it’s because He’s saying something to you. Every time you choose Him, He has already chosen you. Any time you get up before dawn and head into your den to pray, He is already there waiting for you. You never had a single though about Him that catches His mind wandering away from you. You cannot beat Jesus to the punch. You cannot beat Jesus to the passion.” — Beth Moore
- Bonus: Shortly after I woke up last Friday, I received a text message from a friend. “…He has heard the cry of your heart and is bringing it to pass very quickly. Be ready!…” I’m still not sure that my definition of ‘quickly’ is the same as the Lord’s, but hope did its work that morning.
