Friday’s Five: march 16

Here are five things I heard this week. What did you hear that keeps resounding?

  • Little by little
  • Sympathy identifies the problem, but compassion gets up, looks up, and says, “I need to do something about this.” – from Live Love Lead by Brian Houston
  • Lust is desire gone bad. – Dan Allendar
  • Contentment is learned behavior; Contentment is not dependent on our circumstances; Contentment is a state of being, not a state of doing; Contentment is based on the riches of God in Jesus Christ. – David Jeremiah
  • You can’t float without the risk of drowning. – from In Other Words by Jhumpa Lahiri

Bonus: During a time of worship this past week I saw the Lord gathering ashes in his hand…spit in his hand…stir the two together (making clay)…form something new…and then the Holy Spirit breathed in it.

There are the three things you need to know about me. I am a child of God, and I love being about his business; I have a gigantic heart for discipleship, worship, leadership, and creative things; I could eat BBQ morning, day, and night. For more information, see the ABOUT page
