The final thought about joy from the shepherds’ journey is from Luke 2:21. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.
When we let joy silence our fear, and step out, and share in the good news of great joy God is orchestrating, we will return with worship in our hearts and praises in our mouths.
The good news of the never-ending Gospel AND the good ‘new’ God is doing in our lives right now always has a friend—great joy. Joy gives us a new perspective, and it fills our hearts with praises that come bubbling out of our mouths. Those joy-praises change the atmosphere around us.
