As I began writing, I wept through the words and prayed as I penned this song. I’ve experienced the pain of injustice and of loss, like many of you. Although I have been healed and restored (I’m alive with life!), it’s excruciating to know that evil still exists on earth.
There were two truths, two absolutes I wanted to showcase. Deliverance is right here, right now — God is not evil, nor is he distant. But even more, there is a greater deliverance already secured. With it comes not only rescue and restoration but a complete redemption. All things new! No more evil. No more injustice. No more hatred. No more pain. What will remain is a place prepared for us by the hands and heart of God. A holy God.
Is that not the justice, the deliverance we long for in our hearts? So, here is the most hopeful song I can sing, and it is an unfailing hope.
