How majestic is your name
O Lord, in all the earth
Mightier than the oak tree
rooted deep with limbs
spread wide enough
to shade the cattle herd
Rows of mountains embrace
the men who hike
and climb like champions
but who has conquered you?
Oceans deep, too vast to measure
may rise and reach
to wave and play only
to crash and then recede
What about the beasts?
grandest ones have settled in extinction
and a lion’s roar whimpers in your whisper
Ancient of Days, no thing can compare
Even the skies
their glorious light and color
planets whirling in wonder
will give way to your splendor
