Day 21: Christ In Us

Day 21
Christ In Us, Colossians 1:27 / Romans 8:9-11

Life. We are given life. We are given the gift of a second life—the invitation to lay down our lives and live through Christ.

Paul writes about stewarding this new life in Colossians 1. Our rebirth comes with a call. The details may look different from person to person, but they are of one purpose—-to know Jesus and to make him known.

In this surrender, our whole bodies (heart, soul, mind, and strength) become living and breathing testimonies of the mystery hidden for ages. What is this life? Emmanuel. Christ in us.

That’s a lot of life. It defeated death. Wow! That’s the hope we set our hearts on — the hope of glory.

This is Emmanuel: the gift of life, the gift of his life in us, the hope of glory.

I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. To them God chose to make known how great among Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works in me. Colossians 1:25-29
