Some Words of Encouragement

Good morning! I heard/saw these words of encouragement as I was praying last night. If one resonates with you, I encourage you to search it out with the Holy Spirit. He’s a good and willing helper.

1. Lollipops: I saw a field of lollipops of different shapes, sizes, colors, and flavors. So fun! A celebration of your child-likeness. The sweetness/kindness of the Lord is waiting, molded, and packaged just for you. I believe the Lord wants to show you his attention to detail. These may not be life-changing moments, more like little extras, but they will be just for you, including favorites and surprises.

Additionally, they could be a field of God’s word. Either way — delight in them.

  • Psalm 119:103, How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
  • Psalm 34:8, Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
  • Matthew 18:1-5, He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

2. Relationships: I saw a picture of a man and woman holding hands on the beach at sunset and heard the phrase “small steps.” First, I’m praying today for marriages that have lost touch and relationship and that are in the restoration process. Secondly, If you’re in a dating relationship and wondering about the next steps, consider small ones.

Holy Spirit, send out wisdom and creative small steps to take toward one another and the commitment to follow through. Thank you, Father!

  • Luke 16:10, The one who is faithful in very little is also faithful in much
  • 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, Love is patient and kind…

3. Grief: I felt the weightiness and brokenness of grief. I am praying for anyone grieving today that the Lord would strengthen every part of you, from your bones to your spirit. I speak comfort to you.

  • Lamentations 3, But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end, they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”

4. For the Hidden Worshiper: I saw a bouquet of lavender and could instantly smell it. Your worship is beautiful. The aroma of your worship rises to heaven. It is royal in nature. (Lavender is purple, and purple means royalty.) Don’t stop worshiping. The only one who matters is right there with you.

  • John 12:3, Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
  • Luke 10:42, …but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.

Blessed be the Lord forever! Amen and Amen.
