John 1:14
…glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (MOUNCE)
The Father of glory sent us his son, Jesus. Paul writes it like this.
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness, “has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6
The light of the Gospel, the very thing that pierces darkness, is the glory of Jesus. And the Father has shone him in our hearts.
Why?
So we can know him! No longer blinded by the god of the world, but now the eyes of our hearts are enlightened to see him. And wrapped up in his glory is grace and truth.
As we set our hearts on the coming of your son and his coming again, Father, we say open our eyes to see him, to see grace and truth. We have to know your son!
