Vigilance No. 2

The second issue of Vigilance: The Brave Sparrow Quarterly has been posted. There is a recurring theme of abiding and all the blessings that come with it. Like strength, love, and joy. You might wonder what abiding has to do with being vigilant. I believe the answer is everything. Jesus tells us in John 15 that we can do nothing apart from him, which includes watching and waiting for him. With that, it seemed good and right for the Bible study this time to be all about Jesus.

I’m thrilled to have a guest contributor this quarter sharing on Abiding in Joy. Cyndy James is a long-time mentor of mine and she offers an a genuine perspective on the subject that is full of wisdom. One of my favorite quotes from her article is, “We can become so focused on the blot of our sin that we lose sight of the Lamb.”

Vigilance is the quarterly release from Brave Sparrow Publishing with the intent to help ready the Church for this hour as we approach Jesus’ return. My hope for this year’s quarterly is to explore ways to keep watch and be faithful to what God has spoken. Each issue will contain articles, teachings, prophetic content, and a Bible study from guest contributors and Adrienne Scott.
