Who Is Brave Sparrow?

Hello! This is Adrienne. I wanted to share a little about the Brave Sparrow mission. I’ve noticed some new subscribers, so I thought it might be helpful. It is also a good reminder for me and anyone who’s been following for a while.

I’ve been in ministry for thirty years. It has mostly been as a worship leader, but also coming alongside others in discipleship and leadership. I love writing, whether it be songs, stories, or studies, hence Brave Sparrow Publishing. I started Brave Sparrow a few years ago as a landing place for the resources I’m creating. There are numerous blog posts and worship moments, a handful of books, and other types of resources that have been released.

All of Brave Sparrow’s resources are available at no cost: the blog, the worship, even PDF files of the books*. It will always be that way.

I often get asked who my audience is. I have a hard time with this question, but I think I have an answer.

  • I write for new believers, encouraging them through the Word of God and marking the path to maturity in Christ.
  • I write for the Christian who has one foot in the world and one foot in the Kingdom of God as a plea for wholehearted devotion.
  • I write for the body of Christ in this late hour, to stay awake, to keep watch, and store up oil for our lamps.
  • I write to myself and for my brothers and sisters running this race, to keep looking to Jesus. There’s nothing like him!

I love God. I love the Word of God; it is my treasure. And I love the body of Christ, the church, and am expectant for the glorious days ahead of us.

That’s Brave Sparrow in a nutshell**.

I will write and minister until I’m out of breath, regardless of whether I make one cent or not. The goal for me is not entrepreneurship, nor to grow a company or even a ministry. The goal I’m interested in is to see the body of Christ ready for his return and to serve that mission in any way that I can.

Because of that, and the other thing you should know, Brave Sparrow is support-based or crowd-funded, as we like to say these days. It is dependent on the generosity of others to operate. Currently, I have enough monthly support to work 10 hours a week for Brave Sparrow. Although I have a lot more in my heart to do than that, I am so grateful for every second and determined to be faithful.

If you are feeling led to support me and this Brave Sparrow mission, here are three different ways to jump in:

  • Give a monthly or a one-time gift. All of my funding is handled through World Outreach Ministries. CLICK GIVE for more information.
  • Consider commissioning Adrienne to write for a ministry need or have her speak. CLICK CONTACT to send a message.
  • Adrienne is looking for Housing in the NW Atlanta area***. CLICK CONTACT to send a message/leads.

Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me and Brave Sparrow.

To him who is able!
Adrienne
