Praying Through Advent: Your Word, Your Ways

DECEMBER 6, YOUR WORD, YOUR WAYS

Adoration & Worship
You are the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Every word you speak is accomplished. Like the rain that falls from heaven to water and brings forth seeds for the sower and bread for the eater, your word succeeds in the thing for which it was sent. Revelation 22:3, Isaiah 55:11

Repentance & Confession
Forgive me, Lord, I have done what is right in my own eyes as if you are not my king. I want to do what is right in your eyes, and turn my feet to your ways. Judges 17:6, 1 King 15:5, Psalm 119:59

Petition (asking for personal needs)
To know you, Lord, that is my request. I press on to know you, Lord, for your coming is as sure as the dawn. Hosea 6:3

Intercession (praying for others)
Holy Spirit, fill us and empower us to prepare a way for the Lord’s return. Use us to turn the hearts of generations towards each other in oneness, to turn hearts back, Father God, to be light in darkness, and to lead others in the way of peace. Luke 1:13-17, 1:67-79

Thanksgiving
Jesus, we praise you! You author and perfect our faith. Every work you begin in us, you are faithful to complete. Hebrews 12:2, Philippians 1:6

There are the three things you need to know about me. I am a child of God, and I love being about his business; I have a gigantic heart for discipleship, worship, leadership, and creative things; I could eat BBQ morning, day, and night. For more information, see the ABOUT page
