December 21, Everlasting Love
(The fourth theme of Advent is love. Love is the impetus of the kingdom of heaven. It is the why behind everything from the trinity to creation, to redemption, and every second of our future. God the Father sending Jesus to us, as one of us, to redeem us, is our first taste of love. But from there, love is transforming us until we love as he does. Can you fathom an eternity of this love?)
Adoration & Worship
Father, you loved us so much that you gave us your only son, that if we believe in him, we will not perish but have eternal life. To be with you forever has always been the point. John 3:16
Repentance & Confession
You, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Psalm 86:5
Petition (asking for personal needs)
You love me with an everlasting love, and your faithfulness has continued to me. I have places in my life that need to be rebuilt, that need turning. Come again, only you can satisfy. Jeremiah 31:3, 13-14
Intercession (praying for others)
I stand in the gap today for my brothers and sisters in Christ, that they may remember we are more than conquerors through every tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger, or sword because of your love! Nothing can separate us from your love, Jesus. You came, died, and rose again, and now you are sitting at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. What a love! Romans 8:31-37
Thanksgiving
We enter your presence with thanksgiving, and we draw closer with praise! Thank you, Jesus, we bless your name! You are good, and your love endures forever, and your faithfulness to all generations. Psalm 100:4-5
