No Price Too Big

I keep thinking about, as self-centered as it may be, the price tag that was on my life. It didn’t matter how much it was, there was no price too steep for God. There was no price he wouldn’t pay for my life. When he considered the costs, Jesus said, “You are so worth it.” Before the foundations of the world God said, “Oh yeah, I’m willing to pay that ransom because I want her with me forever. I love her.”

Dream Blockers

I’m beginning to understand how easily our dreams get blocked. I like to declare my independence, my bravery, my persistence, but I am a fragile creature living in an upside down, inside out world from what it was intended to be. Sometimes the unpredictable patterns of life are too harsh, and shutting doors on dreams is the easiest way to deal the pain.

All You Ever Wanted

When Jonathan was first diagnosed with malignant tumors I began asking God a lot of questions about healing. For fifteen years I prayed for a miraculous healing from his benign tumor, but it only progressed. I was learning—I still am learning—that intercession is coming into agreement with God’s heart on an issue rather than me praying my will into existence.
