I’m beginning to understand how easily our dreams get blocked. I like to declare my independence, my bravery, my persistence, but I am a fragile creature living in an upside down, inside out world from what it was intended to be. Sometimes the unpredictable patterns of life are too harsh, and shutting doors on dreams is the easiest way to deal the pain.

Don’t believe the lie that says, “You can do this by yourself!” Um, no. We can’t. We need all kinds of people in our lives period—dreams or no dreams. So, if we are really interested in pursuing our dreams, we will silence that lie and intentionally surround ourselves with and be aware of other people.
Okay, so I’m starting to remember dreams that got shoved into a closet, and I’m even letting myself entertain new dreams. Now what? I’ve learned from the past that it’s not enough to have a dream, I have to dream about the details too. Details tether our dreams to reality.
