Friday’s Five, leadership edition

These are (more than) five things I heard at a leadership retreat this week:

1. I want to die with memories not dreams.

2. Don’t settle for the weeds, wait for the oak tree.

3. When you have a problem with your sink, does your plumber call you? No. You call them. So, call us when you need help.

4. If you’re happy and you know it tell your face.

5. A lost, dying, confusing world deserves an honest answer.

6. God is real and he loves you very much.

7. When you’re in a room full of leaders, everything said is tweetable.

8. Don’t expel your creativity on criticism.

9. A guarded weakness becomes a strength. An unguarded strength becomes a weakness.

10. Do whatever it takes to pull back and rest.

There are the three things you need to know about me. I am a child of God, and I love being about his business; I have a gigantic heart for discipleship, worship, leadership, and creative things; I could eat BBQ morning, day, and night. For more information, see the ABOUT page
