No.23 Wonders of His Love

For this is how God loved the world:
he gave his one and only Son, that everyone who believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him.
John 3:16

The intent from the beginning was to be with us, in perfection, in relationship. When that relationship was turned inside out upside down from what it was supposed to be, his desire never changed. The plan all along was set in motion. Jesus, God the Son, came to earth to make it right once and for all.

Who can separate us from the love of Christ?
Can tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? … No, in all these things we are winning a most glorious victory through him who loved us.
Romans 8:35-37

Jesus, our Redeemer, bought us back from sin and death by his blood, with his love. It was costly, but freely given to us.

Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy.
Love does not brag, it is not arrogant, it is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs,
it takes no pleasure in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never comes to an end
. 1 Corinthians 13

God is not just another lover. He is love. The wonders of his love are never ceasing. We love because he first loved us (1 John 4:19)

Jesus, I know it’s not Easter, but what was finished on the cross started in a manger. Thank you for coming to earth. Your love is beyond my comprehension, and yet I feel it every day. It is the strongest force I’ve ever encountered.

  1. Each one of your offerings have been wonderful. Yes, on purpose I used “wonderful” because each thought you have presented is each a wonder-full of expression from Created who knows with greatful understanding the heart of Uncreated.

I must say that this one … this word picture you have so clearly painted upon this canvas today … takes my breath as I gaze at the beauty and wonder of Father’s love coming alive again in my spirit!
