Smothering Jesus

If Mary’s broken, lavish affections anointed Jesus for his burial, what if our poured-out worship anoints Jesus for his return? What if we are preparing our heavenly bridegroom for his coming every time we take our adoration off the shelf and smother him in it?

We say, “Come, Jesus!” You’re what we’re longing for!

Jesus gave every part of himself so that we could be with him forever. What has our adoration? And, is anything more worthy of it than our savior?
