Praying Through Advent: King of Glory

December 25, King of Glory

Adoration & Worship
There is a name written on your robe and on your thigh, King of kings and Lord of lords. You are Faithful and True, the very Word of God. In righteousness you judge and make war. Your eyes are like a flame of fire, your head is crowned with many crowns. Because of the purity of your blood, we follow you, Jesus!. Revelation 19:11-16

Repentance & Confession
Blessed are the pure in heart because we will see you. That’s what I want. No idols, no falsehood, no soiled hands. The sum of my life is to ascend your holy hill, to seek your face. Psalm 24:3-6, Matthew 5:8

Petition (asking for personal needs)
I lift my head, the gate of my heart, and cry, Come in, King of glory. Come in. With all your strength and might, and heavenly hosts, come in! Psalm 24:7-10

Intercession (praying for others)
We love your appearing, Jesus! We are fighting the good fight, we are finishing the race, we are keeping the faith. Any crowns we may receive, we will throw them at your feet, King Jesus. 2 Timothy 4:8

Thanksgiving
To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God — you’re the one we are waiting for! Be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. 1 Timothy 1:17
