She has been known as “Rahab the Prostitute” for thousands of years. Worst. Label. Ever. But like most labels, it was only one part of her life. As I’ve studied what little we know about Rahab I’ve found so much more than her once occupation. There is an eternity of details about her that exceed the name, reputation, and circumstances.
I was attacked by a figurative mountain lion this week. It sunk its teeth into my flesh and wouldn’t let go. The only way I was able to break free was by whacking it on the head with kindness.
The idea to write this series started with a dream (a literal one) I had one night. In the dream I was observing a worship service. The lady leading worship was singing the words I will not be defined by temporary circumstances. I understood in the dream that she was singing about Rahab the Harlot—perhaps it was even Rahab leading worship.
