five things i heard, nov 11

Can you think of five things you heard this week? Here are mine…

  • I love practicing the piano–when you mess up you can just make a silly face and go, “aarrrhhh.” It feels good to do that – a 7 year old student
  • Do one thing everyday that scares you – Eleanor Roosevelt
  • Leaders should bear more pain than they inflict – Tim Keller via my boss
  • Shutter is not the same as shudder  – my editor
  • The splendor of the human heart which trusts that it is loved gives God more pleasure than Westminster Cathedral, the Sistine Chapel, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, the sight of ten thousand butterflies in flight, or the scent of a million orchids in bloom – Brennan Manning

There are the three things you need to know about me. I am a child of God, and I love being about his business; I have a gigantic heart for discipleship, worship, leadership, and creative things; I could eat BBQ morning, day, and night. For more information, see the ABOUT page
