A passing decade measured in sickness, loss, grief,
and rebuilding, restoration, hope
In the loss, I was invited to explore great depths with God
I couldn’t refuse
I found treasures, portals to his very heart
There are pressures and uncertainties when we dive deep
He is with us, revealing himself
Each inch of the way, more of himself
There is no trade price for what I’ve gained
It is nonreturnable, nontransferable
An invaluable part of who I have become
Today marks a new decade
At least in our way of keeping time
I’m nervous, I don’t know why
But I hear his voice,
“Onward, dear one. There’s more to find.”
